Nice place. Some lots have too many trees for RV's to fit properly. We had to switch lots when we got there because of too many trees. They also charge .25 for 4 minutes of shower use.
We had a house fire and went and stayed here for six weeks the staff and the own were very friendly and went out of their way to make accommodations for use very pleasant. It's a very quite camp ground and I would recommend it. So to Norman and all the staff we would like to thank you very much for all your hospitality and genersority. Thank you again hopefully the next time we see you all it's under better circumstances. Thanks again.
Would have been a 5 star for clean and spacious property and friendly staff at main office... BUT this is a prime example of how 2 bored guys on golf carts can ruin a campground real quick.... I am traveling with my wife and 4 kids... 2 of them are ages 5 and 6... They ride bikes and are very cautious riders... They also have been trained on swimming and to never go anywhere with anyone ever... With that said we try to find campgrounds that are kid/family friendly as they all should be in my opinion... We haven't even extended the slides and we were approached by a guy on a cart saying do not let the kids play over on the hill... Do not let the kids play with others belongings on their sites etc.. etc.. etc.. I'm thinking we weren't anyway but whatever... Then about dark (still light out) here he comes again saying the boys had to be in by dark... Again I'm thinking, we were going to have them in by dark but whatever... Then today(our 3rd day) we are approached again and informed that the kids cannot play unsupervised on their bicycles... Now follow me here.... Aren't campgrounds supposed to be a place your kids can play freely and enjoy the outdoors?! Otherwise it's just an outdoor hotel... Campgrounds are supposed to be fun and exciting.. not suppressed with overbearing rules... Once you post the rules ALL LIABILITY is void if there is an incident breaking a rule... So why ruin the majorities experience trying to prevent an extremely rare occurrence and force rules on responsible people.. it is sad that alot of campgrounds ESPECIALLY UP NORTH have chosen this business practice.... Because clearly it goes against every single reason me and my family bought a camper in the first place,,,,,,,,, unbelievable
7/14/2017 This is our first time here. It is a very quiet campground. Site are a little tighter than average. Seems to be a more senior type of campground which is ok by is. All sites are full hookup and most are pull through. Staff seem friendly and helpful. The campground is very shaded with many mature trees. All of the facilities are kept clean and in good operating conditions. Not a whole lot for kids to do, but mine enjoyed this place.
Stopped by at 9:30 pm last night. Office was closed and I went to site 1 as the note on the office suggested. Was "greeted" by lady on a golf cart who inquired if I had a reservation which I did not... stopped by late on travel. She went on about had I had a reservation that there would be no problem. Clearly it was an issue without because she wouldn't stop complaining. I told her not to worry about it and left. Drive down the road to Jellystone - more expensive but was welcomed and didn't get the third degree about not having a reservation.
